NAPPANEE — Zach Zurcher made it official with the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday, April 16, signing a national letter of intent to continue his academic and basketball careers on scholarship for the Greyhounds.

Zurcher, who was NorthWood's co-team MVP with Hillsdale College recruit Jonathan Wilkinson this past season, helped the Panthers post the program's best record at 21-3 with a Class 3A Wawasee Sectional title.

The 6-foot-5 Zurcher, named an Elkhart Truth All-Area first-teamer last week, averaged team-pacing figures of 19.3 points and 5.7 rebounds, and ranked among the area's top four in 2-point (64.0) and 3-point (47.5) shooting percentage.

At Indy, the NorthWood Scholar Athlete joins a program coming off a 24-5 season under sixth-year coach Stan Gouard (104-66). The Greyhounds made their fourth straight NCAA Division II national tournament appearance, losing in the second round, and were No. 12 in the final coaches' poll.

With 1,093 career points, Zurcher finished as the No. 5 scorer in Panther history.
