Kistler of Northridge will play volleyball at Ancilla

Raider standout was a four-year starter, defensive specialist.

MIDDLEBURY — Hannah Kistler, a four-year varsity volleyball standout for Northridge High School, has signed to play at Ancilla College.

A starter for all four seasons, Kistler earned the Raiders' Outstanding Defensive Award.

"Hannah has a great attitude, is a hard worker, is a competitor and her defensive presence on our varsity team since her freshman year has been huge," said Jodie Steele, Northridge's head coach.

"I'm thrilled to land a talent like Hannah Kistler," said Lana Singleton, the head coach at Ancilla. "She is a versatile young lady who I could see taking on almost any position on the court.

In four varsity seasons, Kistler recorded 1,343 digs and she her service return was 97 percent as a junior and 95 as a senior.

Last fall, Kistler was captain on a Northridge team which 26-8.

Ancilla Collage is a two-year liberal arts community college located in Donaldson, just west of Plymouth. In 2013, the Chargers were 15-20. They compete in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.
