Four area schools represented on McDonald's Girls All-Star rosters

A trio of Penn players and a duo from NorthWood load up one All-Star roster.

MISHAWAKA — A trio of Penn seniors anchor a third of one McDonald's Michiana Girls All-Star roster.

Caroline Buhr, Jessica Alexander and Maya Solomon join NorthWood's Morgan Olson and Taylor Fielstra and Marian's Erin Guzicki on the McDonald's All-Star Gray Team. Elkhart Memorial's Khadijah Moore is the lone Elkhart County area representative on the Red Team.

The third annual Michiana McDonald's High School All-Star games — featuring both boys and girls teams — will tip off March 31 at Bethel College.

The boys teams were announced Tuesday, March 18.

Larry Fielstra, who coached at Memorial from 2003-2011, will coach the Gray Team. Jim Arnold will coach the Red Team.

The doubleheader will be staged at the Wiekamp Center beginning at 5 p.m. with the girls game. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for students, and children age 12 and under will be admitted free.

Khadijah Moore (Elkhart Memorial), Ashley Campbell (Oregon-Davis), Haley Collings (Oregon-Davis), Jenna Thomas (Adams), Kelsey Gushrowski (LaPorte), Nashaye Sutton (Benton Harbor), Nikki Grose (Warsaw), Taloni Reese (Adams) and Jaclyn Heath (LaPorte).

Girls Gray Team

Caroline Buhr (Penn), Erin Guzicki (Marian), Jess Alexander (Penn), Kaitlin Elsasser (Mishawaka), Morgan Olson (NorthWood), Paige Avery (Mishawaka), Taylor Fielstra (NorthWood), Taylor Parmley (Mishawaka), Maya Solomon (Penn).
