Big fourth quarter keys Elkhart Memorial victory

Qualls, Giger combine for 35 points.

SOUTH BEND — Tra’vion Qualls scored 20 points and Dimitri Giger added 15, as Elkhart Memorial defeated South Bend Clay, 56-44, in boys basketball non-conference action on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The Crimson Chargers _ now 8-11 _ led 35-34 entering the fourth quarter, before outscoring the Colonials 21-10 to post the victory.

A.J. Gary added 13 points for Memorial, while Qualls added eight rebounds and three steals to his 20 points. The Chargers were 19-28 from the free throw line, while Clay was just 1-8.

Martavious Richmond led Clay (5-15) with 13 points.
