Penn sweeps winter titles, leads NIC all-sports races

Elkhart Central got fourth in the boys race and fifth in the girls standings.

SOUTH BEND — Penn leads both the boys and girls Northern Indiana Conference all-sports trophy races through the 2013-14 winter season.

The Kingsmen won the NIC boys basketball, wrestling and boys swimming titles and have 241.25 points on the boys side with St. Joseph (197.50) second and Riley (180.00) third. Elkhart Central (172.5) is fifth with Marian (162.50) seventh.

The top three teams in the girls race are Penn (205.00), St. Joseph (173.75) and Adams (172.50). Marian (160.00) is fourth with Central (146.25) fifth. Penn won the NIC in both girls basketball and girls swimming.
