Zurcher, Wilkinson each hit 1,000-point milestone

Zurcher also goes over 1,000 as NorthWood crushes Bremen 104-54.

NAPPANEE — NorthWood teammates Zach Zurcher and Jonathan Wilkinson each cracked 1,000 career points as the Panthers set a school record by crushing Bremen 104-54 in boys high school basketball Friday, Feb. 21.

Wilkinson — needing 40 points for the milestone — tallied 41. Zurcher, needing 18, finished with 25. Each played 23 minutes. The 104 points eclipsed a 102-point effort by the 1998-99 Panther team in a victory over Glenn.

NorthWood led 51-21 by halftime and 79-33 through three quarters.

Wilkinson went 14-of-18 from the field, including 7-of-10 on 3s and 6-of-6 at the line. Zurcher was 9-of-13 from the field, including 3-of-4 on 3s, and 4-of-5 at the line.
