Penn set for 4A sectional finale

Penn easily advanced in the Class 4A South Bend Clay Sectional with a 65-25 win

SOUTH BEND — Penn easily advanced in the Class 4A South Bend Clay Sectional with a 65-25 win over NIC rival South Bend Adams Friday, Feb. 14.

The Kingsmen outscored the Eagles 21-2 in the first quarter and owned a 38-10 halftime lead.

Cassandra Morton led Penn with 14 points and Jessica Alexander added 13.

Penn 65, South Bend Adams 25

Adams — Brittany Martens 2, Taloni Reese 4, Ananda Williams 1, Reniya Columbus 3, Devyn Jackson 5, Danielle Davis 3, Carmen Chambliss 6, Jenna Thomas 1. Totals: 10 5-17 25.

Penn — Kaitlyn Marenyi 7, Lindsy Kline 1, Lauren Ellenberger 8, Jessica Alexander 13, Caroline Buhr 4, Cassandra Morton 14, Claire Carlton 5, Camryn Buhr 8, Lindsay Chrise 1, Kamra Solomon 4. Totals: 18 24-43 65.
