RENSSELAER, Ind. -- Blake Faus of Elkhart Central signed Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 to play football at St. Joseph's College.

Faus, a two-year starter and three-time letterwinner for the Blue Blazers, will join his older brother, Nick, who is a quarterback with the Pumas.

"Blake has been a mainstay in our receiving corps for the last three seasons," said ECHS head coach Levon Johnson. In three varsity seasons, Faus caught 76 passes for 759 yards and six touchdowns.

"He's one of the best route runners I've seen come out of Elkhart Central and he has some of the best receiving hands around," Johnson said. "As St. Joe continues to build its program, I am confident Blake has the potential to play an integral role in their offense."

In 2013, the Pumas finished 8-3 under head coach Cory Sanders, who begins his fourth season this fall.

Also on Wednesday, St. Joseph's added another Elkhart County as lineman Cody Spurgeon of Jimtown commited to play.
