Marian holds on to edge Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA — Junior guard Devin Cannady grabbed 16 rebounds and added eight points as Marian won a tough 43-40 victory over crosstown rival Mishawaka in Northern Indiana Conference play on Friday, Jan. 31.

The Knights outscored Mishawaka 14-5 in the second quarter to take a 10-point halftime lead and then held on for the victory.

Ryan Schafer led Marian with 14 points, while Jacob Schmatz topped Mishawaka with 12 points.
