BOYS BASKETBALL Jimtown defense paves way to first NSC win

KNOX — Jimtown shutout Knox in the second quarter and notched its first Northern State Conference win with a 51-33 victory Friday, Jan. 10.

The Jimmies (4-3, 1-1) held the winless Redskins (0-7, 0-2) scoreless in the second quarter, mounting a 26-10 lead at the half that they continued to build upon. Jimtown’s efforts were helped by 15 free throws and six 3-pointers.

Nick Floyd led the Jimmies with 14 points, while Adam DeShone scored 11 and Chase Hoeflinger had eight.
