ELKHART — Azariah Stahl of Elkhart continues to pile up postseason honors.

MaxPreps.com has named the Elkhart Central High School senior to its first team All-American volleyball eam. Last week, the Blue Blazer all-stater was selected Gatorade as Indiana’s player of the year.

Stahl compiled 804 spike kills, 317 digs, 40 blocks and 31 service aces for Central, which won its first sectional title since 1973 and its first regional championship.

Stahl, a 5-foot-11 outside hitter who is headed to Purdue University, was also a member of the 2012 USA Women’s Junior National Team.

Indiana athletes named to the MaxPreps second team were Lauryn Gillis of New Castle, a 6-2 senior who will attend USC, and Beth Prince, a 6-3 junior from Avon, and Carly Skjodt, a 6-0 junior from Carmel. Rachel Griffin of Avon made the third team.
