WATERFORD MILLS — Nate Nussbaum in boys soccer, Lana Smucker in girls soccer, Joel Gerig in boys tennis, Austin Hooley in boys cross country and Hannah Yeakey in girls cross country were named team MVPs during the Bethany Christian fall sports awards program this week.
Bethany Fall Awards
Boys soccer: Sportsmanship — Clifton Miller. MVP — Nate Nussbaum. Defense — Trent Yoder. Most improved — Ian Bomberger. Leadership — Joseph Mumaw.
Girls soccer: Sportsmanship — Lynea Kaethler. MVP — Lana Smucker. Offense — Smucker. Defense — Sammy Kauffman. Most improved — Yejin Kim.
Boys tennis: MVP — Joel Gerig. Coaches Award — Abe Thorne. Most improved — Landon Weldy. Sportsmanship — Parth Patel. JV MVP — Byeong Min Lim.
Cross country: Girls MVP — Hannah Yeakey. Boys MVP — Austin Hooley. Sportsmanship — Lena Yeakey.
Volleyball: Sportsmanship — Lorae Weaver. Team player awards — Jordan Helmuth, Brooke Hershberger, Marie Bontrager. Coaches Award — Hanna Hochstetler. JV award — Tessa Clark.
