Saturday’s volleyball: Rice rains assists as NorthWood earns Bremen Invite title

Nancy Rice dished up 95 assists as NorthWood captured the Bremen Invitational volleyball tournament with four victories on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Panthers won three times in straight sets, including over the host Lions in the final, and nipped Triton 34-32 in the first set of a thrilling three-setter to start their day.

At the Muncie Central Invitational, Chelsea Bettis had 13 blocks, five of them solo, as Elkhart Memorial went 2-2 for the day.

At the South Bend Clay Invite, Ally Vicsik’s 27 kills helped Jimtown go 2-2.
