ELKHART — Brian Dregits and Bret Deardorff are trading roles in the Elkhart Christian Academy girls soccer program, according to athletic director Craig Coffman.

Dregits has been named head coach. Deardorff, who was head coach the last three years, will remain on board as an assistant.

Dregits, prior to becoming an ECA assistant, was women’s head coach at Word of Life Bible Institute from 2006 to 2008.

He’s been at ECA for three years and is the academy’s Director of Spiritual Life. He played collegiately at Word of Life and at Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia.

The Eagles posted marks of 7-10, 8-10 and 9-9-1 under Deardorff, who also served seven years as a middle school and JV coach at ECA before becoming girls head coach.
