Boys Golf Marian’s Makris named NIC MVP

Central's Keagle, Brosh join Penn pair on first team.

SOUTH BEND — Marian junior Michael Makris is the Northern Indiana Conference boys golf MVP, and he’s joined on the league’s five-member first team by two players each from Central and Penn.

Junior Riley Keagle and senior Alex Brosh of the league tournament champion Blue Blazers are on the first unit. Seniors Connor Buckman and J.T. Schwartz from the league dual champion Kingsmen are first-teamers as well.

Second team: Alex Stopczynski (Marian, 5.37), Richard Jung (Penn, 5.49), Conner Isban (Marian, 5.57), John Herman (Mishawaka, 5.59), Nicholas Thurin (Penn, 5.64).
