Softball: Nixon leads Raiders with arm, bat

Haley Nixon of Northridge fired a five-inning one-hitter and backed her own cause with a two-run homer among three hits as the Raiders routed host Warsaw 10-0 in softball.

At Elkhart, Lauren Strausborger had three hits and three runs batted in as Memorial bested Wawasee 5-2.

Also at Elkhart, Brynne Flickinger plated three runs as NorthWood outlasted Memorial 10-8. Lauren Strausborger homered and knocked in three for the Crimson Chargers.

By beating Westview 6-0 and Central Noble 3-1, Fairfield (6-1) moved into the Northeast Corner Conference Tournament semifinals.
