DUNLAP — Three Concord High School players — Mason Eldridge, Taylor Miller and Jake Stauffer — have committed to continue their academics and baseball at Trine University in Angola.

Eldridge, an outfielder, comes off a junior campaign in which he hit .281 with five doubles, one triple, one home run, drove in 15 and scored 15. His on-base average for coach Jim Treadway’s Minutemen was .338.

Miller, a middle infielder, was an all-Northern Lakes Conference selection as a junior, hitting .363 with six triples, nine doubles, 33 runs scored and 26 runs batted in to go with a .438 on-base average.

Stauffer, a left-handed pitcher, went 2-3 with one save and a 3.60 earned run average as a junior. He struck out 28 and walked 12 in 40 innings.

Trine, an NCAA Division III program, is coached by Greg Perschke. The Thunder went 25-18 overall and 18-10 in the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Association in 2012.
