Haynes nets 16 as Goshen cruises

Redskins improve boys basketball record to 11-6.

GOSHEN — Junior Deric Haynes scored a career-high 16 points over 20 minutes of action as host Goshen cruised by East Noble 69-35 in boys high school basketball Saturday afternoon, Feb. 9.

The Redskins (11-6) bolted to a 26-6 lead through one quarter and stretched the gap in each following period.

Sam Stegelmann tallied 13 points and Alex Hartsough 11 for the winners, while Kaleb Williams led all scorers with 19 for the Knights (2-17), who lost their eighth straight.
