Adams stops Marian win streak

MISHAWAKA — Marian saw its seven-game winning streak snapped with a 70-65 boys high school basketball loss to visiting South Bend Adams on Thursday, Feb. 7.

The Eagles (14-2, 6-1) kept pace with Penn atop the Northern Indiana Conference race by virtue of the win. Each team has one league game remaining next week, with Penn hosting Marian and Adams playing at South Bend Clay.

Terry Davis scored 22 points and Juwan Johnson 21 to pace the Eagles past the Knights. Adams drained 10 3-pointers, including five by Johnson.

Demetrius Jackson netted 22 points, Devin Cannady 18 and Michael Whitfield 16 for Marian (9-7, 3-4).
