New Prairie cruises to victory over Jimtown

NEW CARLISLE —Jimtown fell out of the lead in the Northern State Conference Friday night as the Jimmies lost to New Prairie 53-37 in boys basketball.

New Prairie jumped on the Jimmies early, taking a 14-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and cruising to the win. The Cougars shot 29 free throws in the contest, hitting 22.

Zach Rehlander led New Prarie with 13 points, while Chase Hoeflinger scored nine and Adam DeShone eight for Jimtown.

New Prairie, Jimtown, LaVille and Triton are now all 2-1 in the NSC, one game behind Bremen.
