NOTRE DAME — The clock struck midnight and the teeming masses poured into the Joyce Center Varsity Shop.
Tuesday, July 1, ushered in the new Notre Dame-Under Armour era. Notre Dame celebrated its new partnership with the athletic outfitter with a midnight launch at the Joyce Center.
The record-setting deal with Under Armour was forged in January, becoming the most lucrative partnership in college football history. Notre Dame did not reveal the details of the contract, but sources told ESPN that the deal — in cash and merchandise combined — was worth about $90 million.
Notre Dame’s 17-year relationship with Adidas ended June 30.
