Report: Notre Dame picks Pinstripe Bowl in NYC

Notre Dame is headed to NYC for the Pinstripe Bowl.

Notre Dame is reportedly heading to the Big Apple for its bowl game.

According to a Tweet from CBS college football reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Irish have notified the "appropriate parties" about accepting a bid to the Pinstripe Bowl.Notre Dame is headed to the Pinstripe Bowl, per source. Irish informed appropriate parties

Notre Dame officials have not confirmed if the Irish are New York-bound. A spokesman with the program said the earliest the team would announce anything bowl-related would be Saturday, Dec. 7. The Pinstripe Bowl's website said teams will be announced Sunday.

The Pinstripe Bowl will kick off at 12:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Yankee Stadium. Notre Dame would play a team from the American Athletic Conference, likely Houston (8-4) or Rutgers (5-6) (If Rutgers wins this weekend).
