Notre Dame's Zack Martin heading to Dallas

Zack Martin, an Indianapolis native, started 39 games for Notre Dame.

Zack Martin is shipping south.

The former Notre Dame offensive tackle was selected as the 16th overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, May 8.

An Indianapolis native out of Bishop Chatard, Martin played in 52 games in his five years at Notre Dame. Martin, 6-foot-4, 308 pounds, started all 39 games at offensive tackle, but teams have been scouting him as a guard.

The Houston Texans chose South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as the number one pick of the draft.
