While some had their doubts after Natalie Achonwa tore her ACL in the Elite Eight game against Baylor on March 31, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is betting that Notre Dame will bring home a championship trophy in Tuesday night's NCAA championship game.

Indiana's two U.S. senators, Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly, are also wagering, as is U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face off against the University of Connecticut Huskies for the women's NCAA Championship game.

If the Fighting Irish win, Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy has to send Pence a basket of "Connecticut Grown" agricultural products. If UConn wins, Pence has to send Malloy agricultural products from the Hoosier state, a press release from Malloy's office said.

Malloy already won a fully stocked bourbon bar from Kentucky's governor.

Coats and Donnelly are betting a basket of sweets from the South Bend Chocolate Company on the Fighting Irish. Their counterparts in Connecticut, U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, are putting some Jonathan Java Crunch UConn Dairy Bar ice cream and Stew Leonard's brownies on the line in favor of the Huskies.

“I am confident that the Irish will prevail and look forward celebrating with ice cream and brownies," Coats said in a statement.

Blumenthal had a distinct perspective: "Saving room for South Bend chocolate."

Walorski, whose district includes South Bend, has placed a friendly wager with U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, whose district includes Storrs, where the University of Connecticut is located. Walorski is betting treats from the South Bend Chocolate Company and the Wakarusa Dime Store and Amish jam while Courtney is betting a basket of chocolates, maple syrup, cheese and other Connecticut foods.

“As we celebrate another Hoosier victory tonight, I look forward to enjoying the treats from Rep. Courtney," Walorski said in a statement. "Go Irish!"

Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Do you think Notre Dame will win the championship game tonight?
