SOUTH BEND — A conference to empower young girls through Expand Your Horizons Network will be held at Notre Dame on April 26.

The conference will host girls in sixth through eighth grades who want to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math – or, STEM fields. The event will encourage young girls to pursue higher education in one of the STEM areas of study. It will also provide active role models to help the middle schoolers learn about each field.

Expand Your Horizons Network's goal is to motivate girls to be innovative and creative thinkers.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. in the Jordan Hall of Science on Notre Dame's campus. To register for the event, visit Notre Dame's online registration page
