If Notre Dame’s loss to Florida State proved anything, it’s that the Fighting Irish are still contenders for the college football playoff — perhaps a year earlier than expected.

Purdue LB Sean Robinson out for season with torn right ACL
 Notre Dame running back Tarean Folston furthered his campaign as Notre Dame's No. 1 back with a 120-yard performance against Florida State. Folston's 5.7 yards-per-carry average is even more impressive considering he only had one gain of 20 or more yards.

After watching the pass interference penalty that ultimately cost Notre Dame the game against Florida State, head coach Brian Kelly has even “less clarity” as to what happened.
