Ryan Strausborger homers twice in return to Triple-A Round Rock lineup

Ryan Strausborger is hitting .275 with 18 stolen bases for the Texas Rangers’ Triple-A team.

Ryan Strausborger, a 2006 Elkhart Memorial High School graduate in his fifth season of professional baseball, came off the disabled list with a bang.

Strausborger returned to the lineup of the Triple-A Round Rock Express and went 2-for-3 with two homers, three RBIs and two runs scored from the No. 8 slot in the batting order in the first game of a Sunday, Aug. 10, doubleheader against the Nashville Sounds.

In Game 2, the center fielder led off and went 1-for-3 and stole his 18th base in as many Triple-A attempts.

Strausborger is now hitting .275 with three homers and 17 RBI in 70 games with Round Rock. He had spent eight games at Double-A Frisco, where he hit .417 with one homer and four RBI, was elevated back to Triple-A on July 4 and later went on the DL.
