Richner's eagle, Mawhorter's 37 highlights girls golf action

Elkhart Central and Northridge played to a draw.

NorthWood girls golfer Linnzie Richner fired her first career eagle on the par-5 No. 18 hole at Cedar Creek in Leo and finished with an 81, helping the Panthers place fourth Thursday, Aug. 7, in the 10-team Leo Invitational.

At Meadow Valley in Middlebury, Emily Thomas shot a 45 as medalist as Northridge tied Elkhart Central 230-230. The two teams opted not to apply a tiebreaker.

At Sycamore County Club in North Manchester, Wawasee (3-0) topped Concord and Whitko ledy by Mikala Mawhorter (37).
