Swinehart captures Michiana Seniors by four shots

Campbell places second and Stone third in 90-player field.

ELKHART — Dan Swinehart shot a second-round 74 at Bent Oak Golf Club to decisively win the Michiana Seniors overall and top-flight golf titles Saturday, July 19.

Swinehart closed at 151, four shots ahead of runner-up Steve Campbell. The two men had been tied for second, two shots back, after Friday’s opening round at Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen.

Steve Stone placed third at 156.

Ninety golfers competed in the event, with nine in each of the 10 flights. Seven of the flights were decided by two shots or fewer.
