Concord All-Stars fall short in state championship game

The Concord All-Star team lost to Chet Wagner 9-1 in the state championship game Monday, July 14, in Indianapolis.

Concord’s dominant charge through the Intermediate State Baseball Tournament stopped just short of the championship.

The Concord All-Star team lost to Chet Wagner 9-1 in the state championship game Monday, July 14, in Indianapolis.

After winning all three games in its pool, Concord dispatched Georgetown 18-8 in the semifinal game. Camryn Whitehead pitched the win and also recorded three hits and three runs.
