South Bend Roller Girls set to host Potawatomi Zoo benefit event

South Bend Roller Girls set to host Naptown in doubleheader benefitting the Potawatomi Zoo

MISHAWAKA — Local roller derby league, the South Bend Roller Girls (SBRG), will host the Naptown Roller Girls (NRG) of Indianapolis at USA Skate on Saturday, June 28. The doubleheader event benefitting the Potawatomi Zoo will features both SBRG teams, the Bonnie Dooms and the all-star Studebreakers.

Action starts at 6 p.m. with the Studebreakers taking on Naptown's highly-ranked Warning Belles. The two teams last met in Indianapolis in December when South Bend fought back from an 80-point deficit to win by two points.

The Studebreaker bout will be followed by SBRG' s Bonnie Dooms skating against NRG's Third Alarm.

Attendees are encouraged to bring items to donate to the Potawatomi Zoo, such as baby toys, wind chimes and cat treats. Event tickets may be purchased at www.SouthBendRollerGirls.com.
