Goshen Cager Camp: The 16th annual camp conducted by the Goshen High boys basketball staff is set for June 23-27. The camp is for boys entering grades 2-8 who plan to attend Goshen schools. ESC Tipping Point: The Elkhart Sports Center, in partnership with Tipping Point, is offering two skills camps this summer for boys and girls entering grades 3-8. Times are from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16-20 and July 7-11. Cost is $195, or $165 if paid by June 9 for the July camp. To register visit elkhartsportscenter.com.
Goshen: New Goshen High School head football coach Kevin Park is offering camps for Goshen Middle School and Goshen Junior Football League players July 7-10 (4 to 5:30 p.m. daily for GMS at GMS; 6 to 7:30 p.m. daily for GJFL at Pringle Park). The GMS camp is $25. The GJFL camp is free. Equipment issue is 2:30 to 4 p.m. July 7 for GMS and 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 1 at Pringle Park. Early GJFL registration is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31 at Goshen Little League.
Concord: Summer Football Camp for athletes entering grades 4-8, June 23-26. Grades 4-6 from 10 a.m. to noon, grades 7-8 from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $35. Elkhart Eagles: A flag football camp is scheduled 3 to 5 p.m. July 28-31 at Osceola Grace Brethren Church. The camp is open to anyone entering grades K-6. Cost is $35. As part of the camp there will be positional training, agility work and flag football games. Each camper will also receive an Elkhart Eagles T-shirt and there will positional awards as well as punt/pass/kick awards. Coerver: Elkhart Sports Center will be the site of camps for ball mastery (ages 7-12) 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 23-27 (Camp 1) and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 14-18 (Camp 2), advanced (ages 10-14) 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 23-27 (Camp 1) and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 14-17 (Camp 2), advanced (ages 10-14) and elite (ages 12-17) 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 27-23 (Camp 1 half day), 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 23-27 (Camp 1 full day), 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 14-18 (Camp 1 half day), 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 14-18 (Camp 1 full day); $179 for ball mastery, $189 for advanced, $199 for half day elite, $325 for full day elite. Elkhart Central: Elkhart Central High School diving coach Tom Adams will conduct camps June 23-27 at the ECHS pool. Students entering grades 5-8 in 2014-15 will meet daily from 3 to 4 p.m., with high school campers meeting daily from 4 to 6 p.m. Students should be able to swim at least one length of a 25-yard pool and be able to dive head-first off the board. Campers are asked to bring a swimsuit and arrive early enough to change by camp start time. High school campers will learn voluntary and optional dives. Difficulty will be based on individual skills. Cost is $35 for grades 5-8 or $64 for high school, each payable to ECHSAA Diving. To reserve a spot, contact Adams by June 20 at 574-875-6529.
NorthWood: Wa-Nee Schools have scheduled events and camps — elementary and middle schools football camp (with coach Nate Andrews at NorthWood High practice fields), 9 to 10:15 a.m. for grades 1-6 and 10:30 a.m. to noon for grades 7-8 June 16-20; boys and girls tennis camp (with coach Tif Schwartz at NorthWood High courts) June 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, 27 and July 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18; boys and girls soccer camp (with coach Brad Duerksen at Nappanee Elementary), 9:30 to 11 a.m. for grades K-8 June 23-26. Rieth 5K Training Runs: The runs are scheduled for Tuesdays from June 10 to Aug. 26. Sign-in begins at 5:45 p.m. with the run beginning at 6:30. The runs will be on an all-terrain course used since 1997 in the Goshen Parks Department Classified Woods and canal bank northwest of Goshen College between the Elkhart River and Goshen canal.
