Tyler Huxford helps BYU to third straight national rugby title

A junior winger for the Cougars, Tyler Huxford did not play during the championship run but did score four tries during the regular season.

SANDY, Utah — Brigham Young University won its third straight national rugby championship over the weekend.

The Cougars defeated California 43-33 Saturday, May 3, for the Varsity Cup.

BYU's roster includes Concord High School graduate Tyler Huxford.

A junior winger for the Cougars, Huxford did not play during the championship run but did score four tries during the regular season.
