Two Notre Dame players will see their basketball careers continue on the professional level following the WNBA draft Monday night, April 14, our news partner WNDU reported.
Kayla McBride, a point guard, was selected third overall in the draft. She'll go on to play for the San Antonio Stars, WNDU reported.
Despite a torn ACL that will cause her to miss the entire 2014 WNBA season, WNDU reported Notre Dame star Natalie Achonwa was drafted ninth overall to Phoenix.
