Stabler records a top 10, but none advance

Freshman Kiara Stabler gave a top finish for the Blue Blazers at the Huntington North Gymnastics Regional on Friday, March 14.

HUNTINGTON — No local gymnasts qualified for the state finals, while the Elkhart Central girls team came home sixth at the Huntington North Gymnastics Regional on Friday, March 14.

Fort Wayne Dwenger claimed the regional title with 110.850 points, with Carroll coming home second at 104.22. Central posted a score of 97.025.

The top finish for the Blue Blazers was provided by freshman Kiara Stabler in the vault, where she came home 10th with a score of 9.175. Stabler was also the top Central gymnast in the all-around with a scored of 33.375, good enough for 14th.
