Nine local players named on indiana All-State team

Nine players named to All-State football team.

Jimtown’s Cody Spurgeon and Casey Adams, along with Concord’s Michael McQueen were among the area players named to the Associated Press All-State football team Saturday, Dec. 7.

Spurgeon was named to the Class 3A first team at offensive tackle, while Adams was named at linebacker. McQueen was named a defensive linemen on the Class 5A team.

Fairfield teammates Andrew Hagar (OL) and sophomore Mitch DeWitt (defensive back) were named to the Class 3A team, along with Marian’s Ryan Schafer (defensive back) and Michael Farkas (kicker). Penn quarterback Zach Oakley was named the quarterback on the Class 6A team.
