Jeff Murray

Murray carded a hole-in-one June 16 on the 168-yard, par-3 11th hole at Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger. He used a 6-iron.

Dan Witt

Whitt carded a hole-in-one June 15 on the 120-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger. He used a pitching wedge. Witnesses were Don White and Tom Urbanski.

Kenny Bishop

Bishop carded a hole-in-one recently on the 120-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger. He used a wedge.

Jack Samuels

Samuels carded a hole-in-one recently on the 140-yard, par-3 15th hole at Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger. He used a 4-wood. Witnesses were Tom Moon and Ken Schaller.

June 26 — Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame outing: At Chippendale near Kokomo. Proceeds from the event fund the operation of the Hall of Fame museum in New Castle. June 28-30 — Greater Elkhart Men’s Championships: Friday, June 28, at Bent Oak Golf Club; Saturday, June 29, at Meadow Valley Country Club in Middlebury, Sunday, June 30, at Christiana Creek Country Club, Elkhart.

July 6 — Patriot Golf Day: At Swan Lake, Plymouth. Proceeds from the inaugural 18-hole event benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary scholarships to children and spouses of military servicemen and women killed or disabled while serving. Enter as an individual or foursome. Cost is $100 per player, which includes golf, dinner and live entertainment. There will also be a color guard ceremony, a tribute to veterans, raffles and silent auction. Sponsorships ranging from $75 to $600 are available. For more information call 800-945-5616 or 936-9098.

July 8 — Warrior Open: At South Shore Golf Course, Syracuse. It’s the 19th annual event to benefit the Wawasee High School athletic department. There are 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. start times offered. July 8 — Elkhart County Junior Golf Tour: At Orchard Hills Country Club, Buchanan, Mich. Age group 8-9 (5 holes) for $8, 10-11 (9 holes) for $10, 12-13 (9 holes) for $10, 14-15 (18 holes) for $15, 16-18 (18 holes) for $15. There will also be team play. Register at www.elkhartcountyjuniorgolf.com.

July 15 — Elkhart County Junior Golf Tour: At Elcona Country Club, Elkhart. Age group 8-9 (5 holes) for $8, 10-11 (9 holes) for $10, 12-13 (9 holes) for $10, 14-15 (18 holes) for $15, 16-18 (18 holes) for $15. There will also be team play. Register at www.elkhartcountyjuniorgolf.com.

July 18 — Concord Dollars for Scholars Larry Jackowiak Memorial Outing: At Bent Oak Golf Club, Elkhart. The fifth annual event includes 10 a.m. registration, 11:30 a.m. lunch and a 12:15 p.m. shotgun start. Cost is $360 per foursome or $90 per individual. Sponsorship opportunities also are available. July 19-20 — Bobby Dutton Senior Open: Also known as the Michiana Men’s Senior Amateur Open, at Four Lakes and Bent Oak golf clubs. Entry fee is $50. Must be 50 years old by July 19. July 20 — Inaugural Northridge Basketball Outing: At Meadow Valley Golf Club, Middlebury. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available to benefit the Raider boys and girls basketball programs. Four-man scramble, $60 per player or $240 per foursome with 7 a.m. registration and 8 a.m. shotgun start. Prizes at stake and lunch provided. Aug. 18 — Gallop for the Green, A Swing for the Fences: At Elcona Country Club, Elkhart. The event benefitting LoveWay therapeutic horseback riding will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cost is $500 per foursome before Aug. 5 ($600 after that) and includes golf and buffet lunch.
