Bethel’s balance keys big victory

Balance keys win for No. 15 Bethel women

MISHAWAKA _ In a match-up of top 25 teams, No. 15 Bethel placed three players in double figures and defeated No. 23 Roosevelt (Ill.) 81-70 on Wednesday.

Bethel (8-2) had 16 points apiece from Laura Johnson and Ashlee Ort, while Kristen Hicks added 11. Georgia Boisse led the Pilots in rebounds (eight) and assists (nine). The Bethel defense held Roosevelt to just 29 percent shooting on the night.

Casey Davis’ 16 points topped Roosevelt.
