BLOOMINGTON — Indiana will open its most-anticipated basketball season in a decade by hosting North Dakota State on Nov. 12 and play four Big Ten games at home in January.
As expected, Kentucky is not on the schedule released Thursday. But there’s no shortage of big-name opponents.
The Hoosiers play Georgia and either UCLA or Georgetown at the early-season Legends Classic in New York. They will host North Carolina on Nov. 27 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, and face two-time national runner-up Butler on Dec. 15 during the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.
Indiana starts conference play Dec. 31 at Iowa, visits Penn State on Jan. 7, then plays four of its next five league games at home — giving one of the conference favorites a chance for a fast start.
