Gymnastics Leaps & Bounds Gymnasts get 'Olympic' Treatment

Elkhart gymnasts recently worked with former Olympic champions at a national-level camp.

ELKHART — The Elkhart-based Leaps & Bounds competitive gymnastics team recently attended a national-level camp with three former Olympic champions.

Eleven girls commited to Lakeshore Gymnastics in Valparaiso to work with Olympia Gymnastics Camp director Svetlana Boguinskaia (1988, 1992, 1996) as well as Dominique Moceanu (1996) and Samantha Peszek (2008).

The campers received instruction on the uneven bars, balance beam, vault, tumbling, trampoline, dance and leaps and jumps to help improve their gymnastics foundation and excel in their competitive gymnastics goals.

Camie Green is the owner/director of Leaps & Bounds.
