 Jim Garrett led Penn High School to three girls golf state titles in 2002, 2004 and 2005. He will be inducted into the Indiana Golf Coaches Hall of Fame in October.

Jim Garrett coached the Kingsmen to three girls state titles (2002, 2004, 2005) with two state runners-up finishes, one third and three fourths plus 10 regional crowns, 11 sectional titles and 13 Northern Indiana Conference championships.
