 Goshen knocked off No. 1 Chesterton 2-0 in a Warsaw Semistate semifinal on Saturday, Oct. 25, then earned its third shootout win of the postseason while beating Homestead in the final.

Senior keeper comes up with two more shootout saves as the Redskins earn a spot opposite Indianapolis Brebeuf in next Saturday’s 2A title game.

The Knights took advantage of special teams’ plays to advance to face defending state champ Andrean in sectional semifinals.


 Satchel Piece competes in the region portion of the Drive, Chip and Putt contest hosted by the PGA, USGA and The Masters at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel. The final is scheduled for April 5, 2015, on the historic 18th green at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

Satchel Pierce, a member at Christiana Creek Country Club in Elkhart, won six of the seven Indiana Junior Golf events he entered in 2014. He was recently named Indiana Golf Prep Tour Boys Player of the Year.
