 Goshen City Council members Edward Ahlersmeyer, Julia Gautsche, Jim McKee, Dixie Robinson, Jeremy Stutsman, Everett Thomas and Brett Weddell talk with mayor Allan Kauffman during their meeting Tuesday evening, Oct. 7. The council passed the 2015 budget on second and last reading.

Council members voted 6-0 for the budget, which will fill positions for city departments and more.

The Goshen City Council will review and possibly vote on the 2015 budget at a meeting Tuesday night.

 The dual entrances to the St. John's Lutheran Church  located at the corner of C.R. 32 and C.R. 15 represent a door for men and a door for women. The church was built in 1852 and suffered damage during a storm last July. A group of local historians toured the church Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.

St. John’s Lutheran Church was built in 1852 and was placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Community members want to help raise funds to rebuild the church’s roof.

The Goshen Redevelopment Commission tabled the discussion about maintenance to the Millrace Canal until they learn more about the treatment. A public meeting will be held regarding the proposal.
