 Experts around Elkhart County say abuse of prescription drugs is a growing problem.

The Indiana State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration are partnering to collect unwanted prescription drugs in Elkhart and Cass counties on April 26.

Two worship and prayer events will be held May 1 in downtown Goshen on the court house lawn to recognize National Day of Prayer.

 Brandon R. Harris, 27, of Parchment, Mich. was arrested on preliminary charges of armed robbery, resisting law enforcement and possession of stolen property on Tuesday, April 23.

A 27-year-old Michigan man was arrested on Tuesday, April 23, after he allegedly tried to rob a Goshen gas station with a hammer and fled from police in a stolen vehicle.
