GOSHEN — Lula Belle Hartman, 76, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, at her home.
She was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Goshen, to Allen and Marie (Stump) Lower.
On June 9, 1956, she married Wayne Hartman Sr. in Goshen.
He survives along with a daughter, Jeralyn (Robert) Herr of Nappanee; three sons, Wayne (Julie) Hartman Jr. of Fowler, Mark Hartman of Cromwell and Don (Tiffany) Hartman of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Steven) Ellis of Goshen; and a brother, William Lower of Edwardsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Allen Jr. and Larry.
Mrs. Hartman retired from Johnson Controls in maintenance.She was a member of the DAV Chapter 15 Auxiliary and served as a den mother for Cub Scouts for many years. She also helped start Pony Tail Softball League.
Friends may call Saturday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Her nephew, the Rev. Gerald Floor, will officiate. Cremation at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home will follow the service.
