ELKHART — Kenneth H. Rowe, 82, of Elkhart, died Saturday, July 12, at Hospice House of Elkhart.
Kenneth was born on July 20, 1931, to James and Dorothy (Sharkey) Rowe in Elkhart.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Rowe of Elkhart; children Malinda Kay Kallimani (Trevor), Cynthia Marie Stanley (Harry) and Kenneth Howard Rowe Jr.; grandchildren Trevor, Mike and Ryan Kallimani, Katie Grubert, Andrew Miller, Stephanie McAllister, Amanda Steven, Amy Hochstetler, Kathy Kinnison, Blake Stanley and Thomas, Elliott, Caleb and Emily Rowe; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings Barb Gibson, Beverly Ableson, Larry Rowe (Sharon) and Helen Lech (Otto); and sister-in-law Mildred Rowe.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Rebecca Rowe, sisters Imogene Cressler, Phyllis Secor, Joyce Yoder and Sue Glore; brothers Richard Rowe and Jimmy Rowe; and brothers-in-law Herb Gibson, Bill Cressler and John Secor.
Kenneth was a proud member of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War as a communication specialist. He retired from the RV and manufactured housing industries. He enjoyed building model airplanes, photography, NASCAR, fishing and camping.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. The Rev. Randy Nemitz will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
