WHITE PIGEON, Mich. — Harold B. Jewell, 90, of White Pigeon, passed away Sunday, July 6, at Bronson Lakeview Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Constantine Township to the late Carl and Edna (Leeth) Jewell.
He was a staff sergeant. in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at C.G. Conn Music Co. in Elkhart, Ind., for 28 years, was a farmer and owned and operated Jewell's Standard Station.
On June 19, 1948, in Elkhart, he married Vivian L. Whirledge.
Surviving are his children, Suzanne (Stephen) Terry, Robert (Brandy) Jewell of White Pigeon and Harold Joseph Jewell; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Virgil Jewell of Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, daughter, Edna Wilcox, and siblings Geraldine Adams and Darl Jewell predeceased him.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at the funeral home. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery with full military honors.
