ROCHESTER, Minn. — Berniece Irene “Bunnie” Burket, 90, formerly of Bremen, Ind., passed away June 14, at The Homestead at Rochester, of pancreatic cancer.
She was born July 14, 1923, in Mishawaka, Ind., to the late Oscar Herman and Nila Frances (Oswalt) Wenger.
On Feb. 28, 1946, she married Cecil Ray Burket.
Bunnie graduated from Wakarusa (Ind.) High School in 1941. She worked at the Indiana University Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Elene (Christopher) Bauch and Carla J Kaminski; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters Beatrice Ann “Beadie” Weade and Judith Kay Shoemaker of Elkhart, Ind.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil, brother, Richard Dale Wenger, and daughter Tamra Sue Burket Brewster.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at First United Church of Christ in Bremen. A private committal service will precede the memorial service.
