OSCEOLA — Harold William Bishop, 70, of Osceola, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Friday, May 9, in Elkhart County Hospice House surrounded by family.
Harold was born June 12, 1943, the son of the late Rosco and Tressa (McQuillen) Bishop.
On Jan. 28, 1965, he married Laura Gail Marvel.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Laura Gail; their three children, Lisa Bishop of Osceola, Bill Bishop of Osceola and Joseph (fiancee Allison Jones) Bishop of Granger. He is also survived by a brother, Ray Bishop of Niles, Mich.; and two sisters, Sue (Larry) McCartney of Mishawaka and Ethel Rodgers of Florida.
Harold was owner and operator of County Line Towing. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to sing karaoke and listened to country music. He was also into restoring muscle cars. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chaplain Steve Coyle will officiate.
