MIDDLEBURY — Cheryl L. Hawks, 55, of Middlebury, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Oct. 22, 1958, in Elkhart County to Hugo E. and Sharon L. (Canell) Keener.
On Oct. 22, 2001, she married Rick Todd Hawks; he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are three sons, Mark Miller of Bristol, Andrew Champ of Mishawaka and Shane Champ of Howe; two stepdaughters, Kelcie Hawks and Tamara Pinto, both of Goshen; two sisters, Carol Hamilton (Paul Gallay) of Elkhart and Allysen (Rick)Martinez of Lakewood, Ohio; two granddaughters, Breanna Miller and Louella Champ; one grandson, Greyson Miller; and one step-grandson, Jacob Pinto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty J. Rose; and a grandson, Dominique Miller.
She was a homemaker.
Friends and family may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. A memorial service will immediately follow the calling. The service will be conducted by Pastor Dewayne Yoder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Oaklawn Foundation.
