WAKARUSA — Ruth Louise Cook, 97, of Wakarusa, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Fort Wayne to Abraham L. and Pearl N. (Graves) Wollam.
She married Arthur H. Cook Jr. on May 30, 1937. He died March 30, 2002.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Jacquie) Cook of Elberta, Ala.; daughters Margaret Cook of Middlebury and Carolyn (William) Holderman of Elberta; brothers Abraham L. Wollam Jr. of Middlebury and Dick (Earlene) Wollam of Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a 1933 graduate of Elkhart High School, a homemaker and a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be for two hours prior to the 2 p.m. service Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. The Rev. Ron Storms and the Rev. Ron Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
