ELKHART — Gerry M. Huff, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Lawrence, Mass., to William and Elizabeth (Walsh) LaMontagne.

She married Philip H. Huff on May 15, 1954, in Seattle.

He survives along with two sons, Michael Huff of Elkhart and Bradley Huff of South Bend; three sisters, Beatrice Down of Massachusetts, Dorothy Gibbons of New Jersey, and Judith (Alan) Mooradian of Massachusetts; and a special niece, Kathy Bahr of Freehold, N.J.

A son, Philip Scott Huff, preceded her in death.

Friends may call for one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral and Cremation Center. Father Glenn Kohrman of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Bremen Cemetery.

Mrs. Huff was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a volunteer “Pink Coat” at Elkhart General Hospital and loved to spend time at her lake cottage. She was an avid card player and enjoyed pinochle. She loved to send out cards and letters. She served in the U.S. Navy.
